All Proton services partially blocked in Russia

We have received reports that Proton is currently blocked in Russia. We are reaching out to the appropriate authorities to get the block lifted as soon as possible. While this block continues to affect ProtonMail, ProtonVPN is not blocked.

At the moment, we suggest using ProtonVPN to connect to one of our VPN servers outside of Russia to access ProtonMail.

If you are not a ProtonVPN user yet, you can download and install the ProtonVPN application for your device, log in with your existing ProtonMail account, and connect to a server. You can find a complete setup guide for new users here: https://protonvpn.com/support/protonvpn-setup-guide/

Another workaround to access the ProtonMail website is to use a TOR browser by following the steps below:

  1. Download the TOR browser for your device here: https://www.torproject.org/download/
  2. Install the TOR browser
  3. Once the browser is installed, launch it and you will be able to access the Proton websites

Regular VPN Servers ProtonVPN Servers Update

To ensure an optimal security level for our users, we are performing a reboot campaign on our ProtonVPN servers. Servers will reboot one by one with downtime of approximately 2 minutes/ server. This means users will be gradually disconnected from the respective server. Maintenance will end on Wednesday, February 20th, 7 am UTC.

There should be no issues with reconnecting after the reboot. However, if you're encountering issues reconnecting to the desired server, please contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support-form
