The automatic upgrading system of ProtonVPN Windows and macOS clients is currently not operative. This does not impact regular usage of the clients. While we're investigating the issue, updates can directly be downloaded from the website at https://protonvpn.com/download
Regular VPN ServersProtonVPN French servers in maintenance mode
Due bandwidth issues affecting part of ProtonVPN French servers, the servers are in maintenance mode in order to allow the upstream data-center support to perform the necessary tests and resolution to the problems. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We have received reports that Proton is currently blocked in Russia. We are reaching out to the appropriate authorities to get the block lifted as soon as possible. While this block continues to affect ProtonMail, ProtonVPN is not blocked.
At the moment, we suggest using ProtonVPN to connect to one of our VPN servers outside of Russia to access ProtonMail.
