ProtonVPN Clients ProtonVPN Windows client BSOD reports

We have received reports that in particular circumstances the latest versions of ProtonVPN Windows clients (the stable version 1.18.2, and the early access version 1.18.3) might lead to Blue Screen crashes in Windows, due to a conflict with certain antiviruses.

We are actively working on a fix that will be made available as soon as possible.

If you are affected by this situation we advise to either temporary disable the antivirus that might enter into conflict while using ProtonVPN, or to downgrade to the previous stable version.

Regular VPN Servers Global ProtonVPN infrastructure reboot campaign

For the next few days, as part of our continuous effort to keep optimal performance and security of our servers we are proceeding to our regular upgrade and reboot campaign of all our VPN servers. For brief periods each exit will be set into maintenance mode to allow the proper operation.

Due to an unforeseen system issue as part of the ongoing global reprovisioning campaign the ProtonVPN servers in Israel are currently unavailable. We are in contact with the upstream provider to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regular VPN Servers ProtonVPN Mexican servers performance issue

We are experiencing notable network performance issues in the ProtonVPN servers in Mexico. We're investigating and working to restore the situation as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regular VPN Servers ProtonVPN Greek servers hardware issue

Due to an upstream hardware issue in the ProtonVPN servers in Greece they are currently under maintenance. We are in contact with the upstream provider in order to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regular VPN Servers ProtonVPN major infrastructure upgrade

As part of a major infrastructure upgrade to all ProtonVPN servers, for the next weeks, in a progressive way, some group of ProtonVPN servers will be each time in maintenance mode and unavailable for some hours in order for the upgrade to be applied. We are sorry for the inconvenience. This upgrade will pave the way for major new functionalities to be unveiled in the upcoming months.

Android < 5.0 clients no longer supported and Windows 7 issues for ProtonVPN and ProtonMail clients

We have upgraded the security of our APIs. As a result, devices running Android versions older than 5.0 may no longer be able to use the ProtonMail or ProtonVPN app. Additionally, Windows 7 users running ProtonVPN apps earlier than 1.12 should update the app to the latest version.

Streaming Services ProtonVPN streaming in the UK currently affected

Due to an upstream provider hardware failure, part of the usually supported streaming services in UK are currently not available, in particular Netflix. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working in order to restore the service as soon as possible.
