We are currently experiencing some ongoing technical issues with part of UK and IT streaming services. The services which are non-operational include: BBC iPlayer, Amazon Prime Video UK, Disney Plus, NowTV UK iTV, Channelt4, and Rai Italy.

We are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible.

Partial outage of all mail services for about 20 minutes due to a temporary database issue. No data was lost and all services were restored within 20 minutes.

We have done some re-routing to avoid the bad routes, but CenturyLink is so large it's practically impossible to avoid them.

After the introduction of the new servers in Colombia and Peru, it has been reported that on certain devices this lead to crashes of the ProtonVPN Android client. For this reason the new servers in Colombia and Peru are currently no longer available for Android. A bugfix is being prepared and will soon be made available.

Users that had their app crashing are advised to erase the cache of the app or to reinstall ProtonVPN, to restore it to a functional status.

In the next days we will proceed to a reorganization of ProtonVPN servers in Japan to ensure optimal server availability and bandwidth for high speeds and VPN performance. This means that some of our servers are currently under maintenance, while others may be retired. Unfortunately, we can't confirm specific timelines for when these servers will be back online - however we are working to ensure this happens ASAP. Due to technical issues that we are investigating at the moment, Netflix UK is currently not fully operational. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are trying to restore the streaming service as soon as possible.

Following recurrent hardware issues in the upstream infrastructure of our servers in Taiwan, we are working with the provider to have the situation restored permanently as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to a large Call of Duty update, ProtonVPN servers in the US are under high load, which is expected. However, performance is unaffected as we have safeguards in place to prevent performance degradation despite the high load. As part of the continuous improvements in terms of security and performance of our infrastructure, for the days of 16 and 17 of July part of the ProtonVPN Secure Core servers in Sweden and Iceland will be unavailable for a limited time.

As part of an effort to improve the performance and security of our servers we are proceeding to a global upgrade and reboot campaign that will involve progressively all ProtonVPN exits.

We have identified serious performance issue in the upstream network of the provider of ProtonVPN UK#5-8 exits. We have been forced thus to set them into long term maintenance mode, while we investigate if there is any possibility to resolve the issue. Should we be force to change provider the UK#5-8 exits will have to be canceled. We invite our users to access UK using any of the other exits. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Following a Proton API update, certain ProtonVPN Windows clients are having issues in authenticating to Proton. The issue has been already identified and a fix is coming soon.

We have been reported about authentication issues mainly affecting iOS (IKEv2-protocol) and macOS ProtonVPN client authentication. We are currently investigating the malfunctionment and trying to restore the service as soon as possible.
